Remembering Mama - Book
This project is all about memories. Memories of good food, growing up, holidays and special occasions. At the moment my mother has a “cooking scrapbook” which she has kept for over 30 years now. In this little book, she has kept some of the great recipes which she learned predominantly growing up at home with her mother, and things she picked up through her travels. Throughout the years the scrapbook has been maintained and added to. It has been a long-term vision of mine to create this scrapbook into a printed book, and therefore stems the foundations of my project. Rather than simply recreating each recipe and making a cookbook, I plan to make it a split read. The first half of the book about my mother and her childhood memories, and written as if she is writing, and the second half containing the wonderful recipes from her native country. |
